To adequately prepare your Bronx building, make sure these areas are readily accessible for the inspector’s review.
When HBNY performs the inspection, it is our responsibility to provide you with a Gas Piping System Periodic Inspection Report within 30 days, detailing any identified issues. Additionally, we will submit a certification form to the DOB, signed and sealed by the Licensed Master Plumber, within 60 days following the inspection.
Typically, if the LMP discovers conditions that need attention, the property owner is given 120 days to organize repairs and have the LMP submit a revised certification form. In certain situations, the LMP might determine that the conditions require extra time for correction, granting the property owner up to 180 days to address the issue and resubmit the documentation.
The LL152 inspection encompasses a visual examination of gas piping in communal areas, such as hallways, mechanical rooms, and near service meters. If the building owner or manager resides on-site, the inspector will also check the gas piping within their living quarters. However, the inspection does not include other residential units within the building.
